The Best Wine Bars in Houston Deliver

Believe it or not, one ton of grapes can produce about 720 bottles of wine. Whether you like red or white varieties, here are there wine bars that deliver to our apartments in Houston.

Max’s Wine Dive

After retiring as an airline pilot, Jerry Lasco moved to Houston to open Max’s Wine Dive. Named after his young son, the bar is known for its award-winning comfort food and curated wine. In the kitchen, the chefs only use the finest, freshest ingredients. They create from scratch and offer everything from light bites to hearty entrees. Wines include Bichot Cremant Rose, Bulletin Moscato, and Goldeneye Pinot Noir. They’re best enjoyed with Max’s classic lasagna or the southern fried chicken (a customer favorite). Delivery is available through DoorDash and Uber Eats.

The Tasting Room

Also owned by Jerry Lasco, The Tasting Room began from humble beginnings. Today, it spans nearly 7,000 square feet and offers a different experience from Max’s Wine Dive. The wines come from around the world, and there’s something to enjoy with every dish. The Tasting Room gains recognition from the Houston Chronicle and Houston Press and is a favorite among locals and critics alike. Wines include Cali Red Zinfandel and Penfeld’s Max’s Cab, and the entire menu can be ordered through Favor, Grubhub, and DoorDash.

We Olive & Wine Bar

When Luis and Amber decided to open their own business, We Olive & Wine Bar was born. Nestled in the Heights, it specializes in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and domestic, small production wines. Offerings include Lucy Rose, Theorize Sauvignon Blanc, and Bow & Arrow Gamay, which pair well with the orchard salad and burrata spicy honey flatbread. Order through Grubhub or Uber Eats.
